Originally built as a private summer cottage in 1872, this historic 7-room inn is Bar Harbor’s second oldest home. Guests are greeted with newly landscaped and carefully maintained grounds including native vegetation, meandering walkways and a fire pit.  The romantic wrap-around porch with lush hanging ferns and modern black deck furnishings is a perfect space to enjoy a cup of gourmet coffee from the butler’s pantry while enveloped in the smell of salty ocean air and sea breeze.

The interior of the Inn effortlessly combines the traditional comforts of a bed and breakfast with more contemporary stylings of a boutique hotel. Guests will appreciate original period details including rich hardwood flooring, charming paned windows and high ceilings. The Inn’s several common spaces include a cozy sitting room with gas fireplace and a light-filled dining room with cafe tables, a large bay window and French doors leading to the covered porch and fire pit. Each is an inviting and welcoming space to gather and mingle with old and new friends alike.

"This is an exceptional property to stay in. The hosts are lovely and they are happy to help you. We stayed in Jack’s Room, which had an enormous bed and quite possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! The breakfast was lovely and included a nice variety. The Inn is located within 2 minutes walk from the seafront and the town centre and is only a short 15 minute drive to Acadia National Park, which is breathtaking and worth a visit. Overall we had a fantastic trip to Bar Harbor and only wish we could have stayed for longer."
