Fresh from our organic garden to your breakfast plate!
Fresh from our organic garden to your breakfast plate!

From our blooming and fragrant apple tree to our vibrant deep purple lilac bush, spring has definitely sprung at Yellow House Bed & Breakfast. We tracked down our gardening gloves and planted our raised herb garden — it's looking great! This year, some of the herbs you’ll see growing include mint, basil, parsley, and chives, just to mention a few. Many of our homemade breakfasts feature our homegrown organic herbs, straight from the garden!

There are many signature Bar Harbor events planned for this summer and we can’t wait to see visitors strolling along our streets. The 65th Annual Art in the Park is happening on June 20-21 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Village Green in downtown Bar Harbor. There will be more than 25 artists from all over Maine and New England showcasing many different styles of art. The event is rain or shine and more information can be found through the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

Sunset cruise reservations, open garden day tickets, where to see the fireworks, and insider info…that’s service at Yellow House. In town for the Fourth of July? Bar Harbor’s Fourth of July festivities were voted as the #1 top Fourth of July celebrations in America by the Today Show and can’t be missed. There’s an event for everyone, from a blueberry pancake breakfast to a craft fair and marketplace, as well as the annual MDI Rotary Seafood Festival. One of the main events is the parade through the heart of Bar Harbor. It is the quintessential small town celebration, complete with floats, fire trucks, bagpipes, and more. Plus, the town’s pier is home to free concerts throughout the day and the celebration concludes with breathtaking fireworks over Frenchman Bay.

We look forward to welcoming you this season,
