Bar Harbor’s winter sure has been a long one! We’ll be excited when the snow completely melts and we can see our sculpture garden again. Speaking of, if you haven’t seen our collection of large scale metal works by Melita Westerlund yet, please feel free to come visit. Big and bold, these free-standing pieces are scattered on the lawn, inviting you to wander and touch. If you’re here on the first Friday of each summer month, be sure to attend Bar Harbor’s Art Walk, an evening of gallery hopping.
As you know we, here at the Yellow House Bed & Breakfast, take breakfast seriously and are working on a few new recipes for 2015. Wake up each morning to fresh fruits, fresh air and fresh coffee, ready and waiting for you! Breakfast not your thing? We have savory morning treats and with advance notice we will make every effort to accommodate special dietary needs.
Bar Harbor, Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park are dream destinations for explorers and travelers alike. The park has outdoor ranger programs and there are tons of local outfitters who rent bikes and kayaks, and give boat rides and guided tours. We guarantee you won’t run out of things to do, but if you do, just know we are here to help!
Lighthouses, lobsters, hiking, sailing, lazy summer days, or action-packed adventures … that’s Maine.
Yellow House can’t wait to welcome you to Bar Harbor.
See you this summer,
Pat & Chris Coston, Innkeepers
